Category listings in Elevate are based on product lifecycle analysis, customer behavioral insights, exposure strategies, merchandising actions such as boost or bury, and business domain knowledge. All these are part of the Voyado Elevate product listing relevance arena.
Category listings also support sorting and faceting for more focused results.
Facets
Facets are filters that help users narrow down the products in a category listing into relevant results. Facets can be ordered by relevance, alphabetically, or natural (where consecutive digits are counted as "numbers", e.g. "2-pack" is sorted before "10-pack").
The facets to display, and their order, are configured in the Default settings section of the Settings tab in the Experience application area.
To reduce clutter and irrelevant filter options for the visitor, only facets and facet values that are relevant to the category are shown (contextual facets). For example, a visitor browsing a category for shoes is only interested in size values for shoes and not sizes for other types of products.
Sorting
The default sort order of Voyado Elevate is "Relevance". This applies to all built-in product listing and ranking logic to produce the most relevant results. "Name" and "Rating" can only be used if they are available in the data feed. The sorting options available are:
- Relevance
- Name
- Rating
- Discount
- Newest first
- Price ascending / Price descending
- Length increasing / Length descending
- Width increasing / Width descending
- Height increasing / Height descending
- Depth increasing / Depth descending
- Volume increasing / Volume descending
- Weight increasing / Weight descending
- Title
The default sorting options to display, and the order of the options, can be configured in the "Default settings" section of the Settings tab in the Experience application area.
TIP
Voyado recommended that you keep "Relevance" as the default sort order unless there are strong reasons not to.
