What’s the definition for Orders/Conversions/Sold units?
Orders: The number of orders/purchases
Conversions: The number of sessions with at least one purchase
Sold units: The total number of items (from all order rows)
All of the above metrics are calculated from the purchase notifications that are sent to Voyado Elevate.
When are purchases attributed to a specific origin?
The origin of the purchase is determined by the first interaction with the purchased product.
For example, if a product is purchased through a search result ("Search"), but the first interaction was a click on the product in a category page ("Navigation"), the purchase origin will be attributed to "Navigation". The conversion as well as all the revenue and profit of that purchase will be attributed to "Navigation".
Note: A conversion can include multiple products, hence one conversion can originate from more than one place.
What do the different conversion origins include?
The different areas are currently mapped to traffic originating from the following queries:
Navigation:
- /landing-page
Search
- /search-page
- /autocomplete
Recommendations
- /cart-page
- /landing-page
- /product-page
Product details
- /product-page, Sales that originate from the product page, i.e. probably products that are found through Google, Bing, or social media channels.
- Sales that originate from the Email Recommendations add-on
Suspected cache
- Sales that originate from what we suspect to be cached Voyado Elevate results.
Untraceable
- Sales that originate elsewhere. This could be products found through Google, Bing, or other social media channels. Products placed in the cart at one time but purchased a considerable amount of time later, in a different session, will also get origin untraceable.
Why 'No data' despite purchases during that time?
The feature must be supported in the Voyado Elevate Server in order to gather and show the sales origin. If you can see data for a time period including today, but not for older periods, it likely means that your server was upgraded between that date and now.
What is considered a returning customer?
A customer is considered a returning customer when a purchase has been made previously by that customer.
Note: All customers who made purchases within the last 182 days (approximately six months) will be recognized as returning customers.
