A product set is a curated collection of related products. They might share visual similarities, be part of a seasonal campaign, complement each other well when sold together, or be connected through specific characteristics or themes. The "Product sets" tab is where product sets for a site can be set up and managed.
Product sets can be used in the following areas
- Slices
Creating Product sets
Product sets can be created using one or a combination of three methods: import selection, manual selection, and rule-based selection.
Import selection
A product set can be imported through a .TXT or .CSV file using either a comma(,) or a semi-colon(;) as delimiter. Each row should include an "ADD" or "REMOVE" value to manage the product set list effectively.
Manual selection
With manual selection, you can handpick specific products to include in your product set.
Rule based selection
With rule-based selection, you can use the same attributes and values available in all rule-based product selections.
Grouped overview
The grouped view displays the product set with all data from imported, manually selected, and rule-based entries, providing an overview of the entire product set before you save it.
In the grouped overview, you can also block specific products that were selected through any of the three methods mentioned above.
Deleting product sets
When deleting multiple product sets, you will get the option to chose which ones,
- product sets that are used on pages
- only product sets who are not used on pages
Once your choice is made, and you have confirmed it, the affected product sets will be deleted.
If you chose to delete product sets that are used on pages, your action will stop the usage of the product sets in those pages.
Exporting product sets
Products can be exported directly from the Product Selection view in a Product Set.
This allows you to generate a file containing your selected products for sharing, analysis, or importing into other systems.
