What does search conversion rate mean?
It is the ratio of sessions where users purchase something after having found it through search. More precisely it is defined as:
number of sessions with purchase through search / number of sessions with search
Where a session with purchase through search is defined as:
A session where a user has interacted with a product from a search area and then proceeded to purchasing it. Both product suggestions and products in the search result listings are considered as search results. Both adding products to carts and clicks counts as interactions.
What does search assistant usage show?
It displays the number of sessions where phrase suggestions, product suggestions, content links or none of them (i.e skip suggestion) have been used. It also displays a distribution of those numbers.
A user may contribute to many parts of the search assistant during a session, but a user may only increase the usage of each part by maximum 1 per session.
What does general facet usage show?
It displays the number of sessions with searches where facets have been and have not been used respectively. It also displays a distribution of those numbers. Details of the number of sessions in each group resulting in a product page click can also be seen.
The detailed facet usage view shows how many sessions a specific facet has been used in. A user can use many different facets during a session. If a user filters on color multiple times and price once during a session, the count of both color and price facet usage is increased with 1 as the count is session based.
What does sort order usage show?
It displays the number of sessions where a change of sort order following search, has and has not been made respectively. It also displays a distribution of those numbers as well as details of which sort orders that are used.
The details show in how many sessions a user changed to that particular sort order, meaning a user can contribute to multiple values of the sort order change during a session.
