Once personalization is enabled, you can monitor its impact directly in Elevate via the Search summary report that shows how in-session personalization influences search behavior and shopping efficiency.
The Search summary dashboard
The dashboard is designed to give you a clear view of impact rather than statistical proof — it offers observational insights that help you understand how personalization performs in your live environment.
Go to Application > Experience > Reports > Search Phrases and view the Search Summary Report.
What the dashboard shows
The search summary presents four key metrics that summarize activity within search:
- Searches
- Clicks
- Add-to-Carts
- Purchases
For every metric, the dashboard displays:
- The total number of events.
- The share attributed to personalized versus regular search results.
These views help you see how personalization is being applied in practice — for example, how many sessions were influenced, how many clicks came from personalized results, and how many add-to-carts or purchases can be traced to those interactions.
How to interpret the insights
The goal of these insights is to confirm that personalization is active and to illustrate its impact on shopper engagement and search efficiency.
They are designed to help you identify directional trends rather than provide statistical proof.
Over time, you should expect to see:
- A higher search hit ratio — the ratio of clicks to searches increases as shoppers find relevant results faster.
- Fewer total searches — shoppers reach the right products earlier in their journey.
Together, these trends indicate that personalization is helping shoppers navigate more efficiently, improving both engagement and precision in the search experience.
