Boost by tag

The Boost by tag feature is used to boost selected products on landing pages and category pages when a matching campaign tag is passed to Elevate.

This feature is useful when you want to adapt product listings based on campaign traffic, audience segments, or other external context. For example, a visitor arriving from a URL with utm_campaign=tiktok_summer can see products boosted specifically for that campaign.

Boost by tag is useful for cases such as:

  • Promoting products for a specific marketing campaign
  • Personalizing landing pages or category pages based on traffic source
  • Creating campaign-specific category page experiences
  • Testing different merchandising strategies for different campaign tags
  • Highlighting seasonal or featured products for selected visitors

Boosted products will gain positions on landing pages and category pages where the matching tag is passed with the request.

How to set it up

  1. Select the products you want to boost when the tag is applied.

  2. Add a name for the boost, then enter the campaign value that should trigger it in the Apply campaign tags field and press Enter. Select Save to activate the boost.

  4. You can now visit your retail site and pass the tag as a query parameter.

The supported query parameters depend on your site's integration.
